What is The Fit Files?

Helping our clients ACHIEVE their goals since 2012.

The Fit Files was founded in 2012 in Washington, DC, by Alyssa Flowers who had been working as a personal trainer for over 10 years at the time, in 5 states and 2 countries. She saw a need to create a network of health and fitness professionals who all worked together to deliver the best overall results to individuals. The Fit Files team consists of personal trainers, physical therapists, massage therapists, group exercise instructors and nutrition specialists who all work together to create well-rounded programs. If needed, we can also collaborate with your existing physicians to provide an overall whole body wellness experience.

What sets us apart from the industry standard is that we deliver these services at the location choice of the client. Whether it be in a gym, in-home, at their place of work, or virtually, for those who have demanding travel schedules, we will make it work. This decreases the time needed for clients to prepare for workouts and makes the client more accountable, which, in turn, elicits better results.

Keri Wiles Ohlheiser

Keri brings a lifetime of health and fitness experience. She was a competitive gymnast for 16 years before receiving a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Personal Health and Wellness from the George Washington University. Her thesis highlighted the differences in quality and nutritional value of heavily marketed foods, and provided healthier alternatives. In 2016 she obtained her personal training certification through the American College of Sports Medicine. She then obtained a Precision Nutrition Certification and completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training program in 2017.

She recently graduated from Georgetown where she received her Masters of Science in Nursing and Clinical Nurse Leadership. While at Georgetown she focused her research and thesis on the impact of fitness and mindfulness-based exercises (like yoga and meditation) on reducing the physical and physiologic effects of stress, burnout, and compassion fatigue.

Keri continues to train and teach yoga while working as a nurse. As a trainer, she applied her gymnastics background to become an expertise in developing core strength, mobility & stability, and flexibility while focusing on proper alignment and posture. She also enjoys working with individuals suffering from medical co-morbidities, as well as those that are struggling with high levels of stress and anxiety
